flyer299 0 #1 October 30, 2003 I've got all my peices in and I am ready to start putting things together. I was hoping for a little more documentation with the dBox I bought from Bonehead, but the box looks great. Any advice for how to put it all together? I got a brand new Mindwarp, dBox (made for my camera by bone head), Chin Cup, and Camera Eye II. Question is: Side mount or Top Mount? Camera Flyer at my DZ recommended Top mount, yet he and everyone else has a side mount. Looks like going side mount will be easier to put together. I think the helemt would require more work to top mount because it isn't flat. What do you think?
ltdiver 3 #2 October 30, 2003 Work very closely with a cameraflyer mentor at your DZ. This goes for setting up a 1st camera helmet, but also safety in this avenue of the sport. Nothing speaks better than a hands-on approach. Looks like you prefer freeflying. Follow this lead in the set-up if this is still your desire. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
flyer299 0 #3 October 30, 2003 For sure I am going to work very close with him. But he has a much more professional setup than I am going for. I am just looking for advice from anyone who has setup a new Mindwarp with a bone head dBox.
Deuce 1 #4 October 30, 2003 I don't understand why you didn't get an optic. Your mindwarp does not have a flat side, does it?
MattM 0 #5 October 31, 2003 No, its not flat, but thats what washers are for. :) Matt

ltdiver 3 #8 November 1, 2003 QuoteCan anybody say "Theres ways to fix that." True, but why go through the hassle of fitting a flat surface to a round one? Isn't it alot easier (and safer in the long run) to just buy the correct items in the first place? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
MattM 0 #9 November 2, 2003 Its not a hassle really, I mounted my box to my mindwarp(or whatever its called) in about 30min. Some people already have a helmet and can't afford a better one. But it can also be setup to be just as safe as a flat surface in regard to risers, lines. etc. Matt
