lewmonst 0 #1 January 22, 2004 yeah, so if you photo gurus out there want to see something sad, and haven't seen this yet, check out http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/fire/index.html and that's my 10D at the top, and my LowelPro bag i scraped it out of. It's so sad. I only jumped it for 6 days in Rantoul before i broke my femur... I was just about to start jumping it again... oh yeah, not to mention the fact that we all lost hundreds of beautiful convention photos because of a harddrive crash in Rantoul. I had some beautiful photos on there... so all i have to show for my 10D ($2400 with lense and warranty) in the sky is two days worth of jumps, two rainy days... oh yeah, that $400 2-year warranty covers everything but theft and fire. peace lewhttp://www.exitshot.com
murrays 0 #2 January 22, 2004 I'm sad for you too Lew...that really, really sucks.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
ltdiver 3 #3 January 22, 2004 Damn, that photo hurts. My Canon Rebel is weeping for it's brother. (pics on that page--other than the ones of your camera--are from my Rebel on Sunday afternoon). Glad to be of service. ... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
newshooter12 0 #4 January 22, 2004 Just a thought. If you have some... does your homeowners or renters insurance cover it? Poor Canon matt
lewmonst 0 #5 January 22, 2004 Thanks Lori! It's funny you say "brother", I'm with that sentiment. My 10D was my baby. How do you like the rebel for jumping? Not sure I can invest in a second 10D, so I'm trying to see what the alternatives are... Matt, thanks for the thought, unfortunately no home, and no renter's insurance. Attached is a small photo tribute to my late 10D... peace lewhttp://www.exitshot.com

ltdiver 3 #7 January 22, 2004 Nice pics. How do you like the FTP? I've not shot the 10D, so can't comment on it's difference to the Rebel. I just know I LOVE my 300D. The pics I get from it are AWESOME! Head over to BestBuy, Circuit City, or somewhere and handle it. You just might be surprised. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
lewmonst 0 #8 January 22, 2004 Yes, fortunately, I hadn't taken it out of my backpack yet. Lori, are you talking about my Flat Top Narrow? I'm still tweeking it, like it better than a chun cup. I'm not sure I'd choose the narrow over the Pro if I had to do it again, I will need that extra real estate when I start putting flashes on and all that. That helmet actually survived, I lost my freefly helmet, Optik with sidemount... peace lewhttp://www.exitshot.com

That helmet actually survived, I lost my freefly helmet, Optik with sidemount... I looked at the pictures again after writing my post to you. Yeah, it's a FTN, I see. I actually put the FTP option out of my mind, 'cause it looked just too big for my small noggin. However, I tried a friend's FTP on last month and it felt GREAT! Now I'm not so sure my new BatRak was the correct helmet to purchase (to replace my daBomb). Like you, I wanted more real estate up top for the cameras and stuff. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
freeflir29 0 #10 January 24, 2004 That three way exit pic is AWESOME Lew. I'm so sorry you lost your camera. As someone that has destroyed one before....those pics brought a tear to my eye.
