no7rosman 0 #1 March 29, 2003 Can anyone tell me how the front riser pressure is on the Safire. (Not Safire II) I would be jumping a 149 loaded at 1.4.
wmw999 2,447 #2 March 29, 2003 I'm jumping one loaded lighter than that, and I think it's pretty high. Note that while I'm generally strong, my pull-ups really suck. It's almost like doing a pull-up on them. edit: I'm referring to the front riser pressure. Toggle pressure is neglibible. johnny1488 1 #3 March 29, 2003 Toggle pressure should be light but not the lightest of all canopies but there is no problem on turns or flare whatsoever. The front risers are kinda high. Youll have to pull pretty hard and throw your body around the corner a bit. Not impossibe by any means. The pressure on the safire1 (I think) is a bit lighter than the safire2. I think the canopy will more than make up any work it takes under canopy. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
skycat 0 #4 March 30, 2003 As a side note the safire1 has a longer recovery arch than safire2.Fly it like you stole it!
