Infinity on a PC 105?

One more dumb question and then I think I am done. Normally you need to set the camera focus to "Infinity" so it doesn't keep screwing up your shot. Where the heck is that on a PC 105?

On the right hand side of the camera, there is a button labelled "Focus"

Press it and then rotate the ring that surrounds the lens. There should be a little graphic that appears at the bottome centre of the viewfinder/LCD screen that tells you at which distance you're focussed.

AFAIK, it stays at this focus even if you turn off the camera. Just don't move the ring after you've set it, or you'll change your focus.

Is this the same thing as using the "spot focus" for the 105?

I don't think so.

The spot focus just changes the spot that the camera focusses on, I don't know if it's permanent or not... (is this the one where you pressthe LCD screen to tell the camera where to focus?)

clay i've noticed that on my camera when i had my .45 lens on it i could set it to infinity but with my .3 i have to actually focus it on something about 5-10 feet away and then tape it down. focus is clear throught the range just can't set it to infinity anymore.....

Hmmm...that's strange. I'll probably be OK with my .43 but I'll keep that in mind.
