martz 0 #1 March 4, 2004 When I do render as in Vegas, the software split the AVI in file of 3.99 gigs. I want to get just 1 big file to burn on a DVD. Is there a way to do that ??? Thanks=============================== Ourson # 5 impatient de sauter #
PhreeZone 20 #2 March 4, 2004 What version of Windows are you editing on? DVD's are in MPEG format. You need to do the compression from the raw AVI to the MPEG that will go on the DVD at some point.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
martz 0 #3 March 4, 2004 I'm using windows XP Home edition. I Can't produce the AVI file because it is splitted. What I do usually is editing the file in Vegas 4.0, render the file as .avi and then insert in DVD architect. If you have a better way, please tell me because I'm completly newbie in that domain.=============================== Ourson # 5 impatient de sauter #
PhreeZone 20 #4 March 4, 2004 You are running into a Limitation of the operating system of only allowing files to be at a max of 4 Gig's. Check and see what FAT system is in use on your hard drive. If its FAT32 (probally is) you will need to upgrade it to NTFS to get larger files. http://www.winnetmag.com/Article/ArticleID/27253/27253.htm How to convert from FAT to NTFS: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;307881Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

aerialcameraman 0 #6 March 4, 2004 I use vegas and i also use MYDVD. Fastest and by far the best way to burn it to dvd is to: 1. after you edit the movie go up and click FILE 2. scroll down to where it says RENDER AS and CLICK 3. a screen will apear, go to the drop down window and CLICK mpeg 2 NTSC format. 4. Last click the start button and save it in a file. 5. A then transfer it to either MYDVD or what other program you have. P.S. BUY MYDVD!!!!!
