CaTo 0 #1 March 12, 2004 hey you all, My favorite shopowner is trying to sell me the expensive original canon remote for my new canon 300v (rebel) .... he is saying that it is 'special' and no normal plug will fit. I can hardly believe him, and do not want to spend 25 euro's if not really necessary. LouDiamond 1 #2 March 12, 2004 If your not afraid of cutting wires and sodering a new stereo plug then it shouldn't be an issue. I think you can get everything you need to change the plug for about $10 to include the sodering iron, soder, shrink wrap, and stereo plug at a electronics store.
