DKJ 0 #1 March 22, 2004 I have recently set up a TRV19 and would like some feedback on wide angle lens. I am a freeflyer and have no sight on the helmet. I'm finding that when my partner gets right up to me that I don't get all of him in the frame. I don't want the "fish eye" look but would like to capture more in the frame. Any suggestions as to size and make would be very helpful.
masher 1 #2 March 22, 2004 I use a WayCool 0.45x lens. It's probably not wide enough for you, but they also make a 0.33x, and soon a 0.25x. On the 0.45 and 0.33 I can't see much distortion of the image at all. They've got some demo pics on their website. Check them out. www.waycool.com.au-- Arching is overrated - Marlies
DaGimp 0 #3 March 22, 2004 I once used a Diamond .3 lens and it worked really well for close up shots..no fish eye look. I have switch to the .5 though since i have since expanded my filming to other areas. www.royal-lens.com very low profile, very durable."Professor of Pimpology"~~~Bolas
koz2000 1 #4 March 22, 2004 I also have used the .3 for about 700 FF jumps. There's no barrel distortion to speak of. However even at the .3, if your partner is right in your face, you're not going to get all of him in frame.______________________________________________ - Does this small canopy make my balls look big? - J.
