Conquest150 0 #26 June 18, 2004 ive got about ten jumps on what used to be called the hc-20 and i loved it. the only prob now is i have to get it replace cuase i had a CRW wrap last weekend with it on my head and i had to cut it away b/c it was the only thing holding me in the wrap. but it is an awesome camera to do video with. riggerrob 643 #27 June 20, 2004 Did a couple of tandem jumps with my HC-40 in a hand mount yesterday. Still learning "switchology" and still waiting for the last piece of the puzzle: stepper ring.
riggerrob 643 #28 June 24, 2004 A - 37mm to 25mm - stepper metal ring just arrived from Max Cohn (www.generationfreefly.com). It is a great fit between my SONY HC 40 and a Diamond 0.3 wide angle lens. The only disadvantage with that combination is its inability to focus at any but the widest zoom settings. No great loss as I prefer to set-and-forget while doing tandems. Blue skies, riggerrob
riggerrob 643 #29 June 28, 2004 Agree with everything freekflygeek said. I did 16 jumps with my new SONY HC40 this past week. Those 10 tandem jumps on Saturday sure taught me a thing or two about using a hand mount! Hee! Hee! things like "a student slamming you into the doorframe may turn off the camera." Hee! Hee! riggerrob 643 #30 July 13, 2004 Yesterday I learned that the "EASY" switch makes for far better colour and contrast. My next step is cutting a hole in my hand mount so I can access the "EASY" switch while on jump urn.
