Cam Eye 2 question

Recommended Posts

OK, I just got a new Cam Eye 2 via UPS. This was to replace the unit I was using (It didn't survive being dropped from a gear hook). So I start setting it up and discover that they have gone from a blue light to a red/green combination. The problem with this is that I am color-blind and can't differentiate between red a green lights. Is there a way to swap out the LED from the old unit or am I stuck with this?

You may be able to find someone with the sodering skills to switch them for you, but you might just want to learn which light (right or left) does what function. You know the sequance for a stop light, use the same thought process to determine the cameye sequance. MTC

Man, I don't know what your minimum focal distance on your eye is, but that is pretty dang tough for me.. especially in a dim plane.

I wrote to the folks that make the cam eye 2 about a redesigned plug, and they were very helpful (repaired my cameye2 / put their updated plug on it). I would just contact them and tell them your problem. I bet they could help you out easily.
