skyfly 0 #1 April 17, 2004 had my previous dbox mounted with 3 screws to the helmet, and I'm in the process of setting up another helmet. Anyone had any experience mounting the dbox to the helmet with rivets ? they seem much smaller, and flush to the surface of the box, and the helmet, and not as bulky as screws and bolts. any ideas? any comments? thank you,Be Simple, Be Creative, Bee! Tink1717 2 #2 April 17, 2004 Are you using "pop" rivets or regular rivets? The trouble with pop rivets is that if you don't get them set exactly right, they can be a real pain to get out. I opt for screws, that way if I need to switch to a different position, I can do it with a minimum of fuss.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... wingnut 0 #3 April 19, 2004 i'm with tink on this too.. screws will alow a lot easier chang if need be... evenif it is something as simple as removing your dbox to install a cable or if the line of sight is just not how you would like.... with rivets it's going to be..."get out the drill? with screws it's pretty easy just to bust out the hex head wrench or other veriety of tiped screwdrivers..... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
