Billy 0 #1 April 21, 2004 Thanks for all your guy's input! There is so much info here my eye's were burning by the time I read just some of the posts loaded with good advice. I decided on the Digital Rebel, Lexar 256 card with the kit lens from Ritzcamera with the 1 yr ESP for $1277 (Thanks for the link Lew). I liked there warranty better than the "Mack" that was offered from dbuys. And a Coceptus tongue switch. Hopefully with the stereo plug... it didn't specify on the order which type it had... don't feel like cutting and soldering right away!! My mount is gonna be made by a guy from work that does awesome shit for our aircraft... when done I'll post some picts of it... It should be a good first still set up and eventually I'll look at getting a better lens... Again Guys,, you rock! Thanks Billy Natural Born FlyerZ.com
lewmonst 0 #2 April 21, 2004 you're welcome. Did you go to a Ritz store or order online? I've always gone through the store so I could deal with someone in person. I'm not sure how RitzCamera.com handles things. I know that they are two seperate companies... so that if you order online, you cannot take your broken camera to a store, you have to ship it somewhere by yourself. Which is why I've always gone through the store. peace new 10d should be here anyday now... :) lewhttp://www.exitshot.com

jose 0 #9 April 23, 2004 Im not sure what all the warranty covers other than manufact. stuff, but I got it on Ebay from a Canon dealer. Canon refurbs demos that dealers were given for learning the product to they could sell them more intelligently. These have been gone thru by Canon and are basically new. The retailer gives 3 months warranty and the next year is offered by N.E.W. warranty service. US model with packaging and all the stuff that comes with the one that you would buy in the store, just cheaper. Now I would like to find a warrranty that I could buy that covers accidental damage.....know of any?
