nacmacfeegle 0 #53 May 24, 2004 "Sony should use us for one of their ads, don't you think?" "The sport has a very cool image, gives awsome visuals, ......... We put our camera's through hell every day they keep on surviving even though they are abused in ways they were never intended for and whufo's would never dream of. ...... We're the perfect advert." When Sony released their first upright model, the PC7, they used an ad which featured Wendy Smith and Deug getting married on a DC3. It had loads of freefall footage, and I even liked the tune, 'White Wedding' by Billy Idol. For what its worth, I use a PC7, (and a mini dv deck GR DV300 for bullet cams) but its playing up and will be retired shortly.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Deuce 1 #57 May 24, 2004 The Sony website doesn't list my camera, the PC120. My wife also has a 120 . Gosh, won't it be convenient to borrow if mine fails, huh?

Going to the shop to get fixed is my TRV20... it just keeps zooming in... johntheking 0 #59 May 25, 2004 Being that this sport is Sony saturated, what are peoples' impressions of the Canon Optura 300? I do not jump a camera, yet, but want to buy one that can be carried over when/if that time comes for me to do so. I need a nice little mini DV and had given the Canon considerable thought. Any other ideas? John

skydiver51 0 #62 May 25, 2004 A PC 101 now. Have had it a couple years. My JVC GR-DVM 90u flaked out. Will NEVER buy a JVC again. No one can fix them when something goes wrong with it. The 90u has been in four times.
