proof labels on stills

Recommended Posts

I have taken some really good digital stills lately, Id like to do somethings with them but I dont want them stolen or used without my consent. Ive seen photos on the web before that have the word PROOF transparently placed acroos them. How do you do this, is it possible to do it in photoshop?

Photoshop is the best way to do this. Create an image that says PROOF, or your copyright information and and then create another layer and place the proof overtop, then you just need to vary the opacity of the word to make sure it is clear but so is the picture. I always vary it, you can make one that is almost clear but I always like to adjust the level to match the picture.

It's -way- easy in PhotoShop.

Open your image.

Select the type tool.

Type your Copyright notice or whatever you want.

Make the type layer's transparency something like 20% or so and then Save for Web.

Done.

Don't worry, when I see you sometime in Perris I would be more than happy to buy you a sissie beer or 6 for all of your great info and personal responses to PM enquiries.

Thanks Quade, from me, and all of the others benefiting from your info.

Yeah - I second that - I didn't get to meet you in Eloy - but I'll buy you a beer when I see ya next time.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama
