Landscape works better for RW, Portrait better for CRW... the ideal set-up allows you to change it for whatever your are shooting... On my set-up, my primary camera is set up Landscape, my second camera is Portrait... the primary can also be switched to Portrait if there is a need. As to the intended use... for magazines like Parachutist, covers need Portrait layouts, centerfolds need Landscape...
