Chrissay 0 #1 July 27, 2004 What is the best way to pull stills from video? As in highest quality to put on the web? I have a PC105 and have Adobe Pro and Photoshop at home. thanks! Chrissy
AggieDave 6 #2 July 27, 2004 The 105 can capture a still to a memstick, its pretty straight forward and easy to do, then just USB the pics to your computer.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
StevePhelps 0 #3 July 27, 2004 If Adobe pro is like Adobe Premiere you can >capture frame > of your AVI file of the jump and then on Adobe Photo go to filter > video > deinterlace > even You can get a nice still that way.
mr2mk1g 10 #4 July 27, 2004 however you get the still to your pc as steve said it's important to deinterlace it using the functions on adobie (or similar) if you want it to be viewable.

Chrisky 0 #6 July 28, 2004 Doesn't have to be even, odd can do too, whichever gives the better result to your liking. JFYIThe mind is like a parachute - it only works once it's open. quade 4 #7 July 28, 2004 The BEST way? Well, it really all depends on your subject matter and what you're trying to achieve. BEST in some cases is only going to be as good as a normal frame grab. BEST in other cases . . . can be quite surprising. http://redhawkvision.com/Products.html Now, lemme first say that I have no affiliation with this company even though, yes, that's a "RedHawked" picture of my ugly mug in freefall taken by Lori Thomas from video. IF (and ONLY if) the subject matter is fairly stationary over the course of several video frames does this progam work with any acceptable results, but as you can see, when it works, it's pretty interesting. 4-way exit shots come out like poop and so do people turning points, but -occasionally- it might be useful.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

quade 4 #9 July 28, 2004 Quote Thought they'd set it aside. Me too. I didn't even see them at this year's NAB show. I thought they had gone out of business, but the other day I was looking for some image enhancement software and they popped up.
