StevePhelps 0 #1 August 14, 2004 What is needed for a digital camera to be able to work with a bite switch? A lanc? Is there other camera's you might recommend besides the Canon Rebel?
dragon2 2 #2 August 14, 2004 You need an electronic remote. Not an infrared or mechanical one. The plugs needed vary, the 300D (digi rebel) has the standard Canon plug that is also the standard for most bite/tongue/blow-switches. The Canon D30, D60 and 10D have another kind of Canon plug so you need an adaptor. The Nikon D100 needs the extra grip to get an electronic remote. The body has a mechanical remote only. The Nikon D70 sadly has no electronic remote, and no grip either. Only an infrared remote. Not sure about the Sigma camera's and others. Personally I'd recommend a Canon 10D or a Nikon D70 (either fix something for the infrared remote or get the mod done at Harbotronics)........ But, do a search, the topic of which camera is better has been discussed plenty of times here. ciel bleu, Saskia
