Just as a normal 45 degree front jump, try it backwards: Just "step off", quite vertical, that makes you fall slowly to a back stable position... or it should..... Zee 0 #3 August 30, 2004 Yeah, it's easy to mess it up A balloon jump is a lot like a B.A.S.E jump - no relative wind to work with on exit. I usually go off backwards and leave standing on my knees with my head facing upwards at a pretty extreme angle. It all depends upon your subject though. The exit has to be timed right so pay attention to the count, and try to leave either a split second before or at the same time. Here's one from last WFFC - I left just a hair too late and we had to go off the wrong side (the sun was at her back) due to the wind direction and the weight shift in the balloon.
