freeflir29 0 #1 August 30, 2004 How do I get rid of interlacing? I have my video all done but it's interlaced. While that looks "OK" in the full version......once it's compressed it REALLY looks like dog shit! Is there a way to export it in a Non-interlaced format? Or do I have to redo the ENTIRE project? docjohn 0 #2 August 30, 2004 I watched your video (WMV format) and it looks fine. When you say 'full version', do you mean watching the timeline in Premiere? Your compressed version (WMV) looks fine to me. BTW, nice job. Just a suggestion: a bit more editing, like when your subject is far away or when your lens fogs up. Smooth transitions like fades would be nice too. Keep up the good work! Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
freeflir29 0 #3 August 30, 2004 QuoteWhen you say 'full version', do you mean watching the timeline in Premiere? No....just the "Large" version as it is exported. When it's "interlaced" there are some "lines' in the video. You can usually see them the most around a skydiver in free fall. Those tend to get worse after you compress it. My transitions and use of footage is getting better. I'm on my 3rd video now.... One of these days....I'll get this all figured out.
freeflir29 0 #4 August 30, 2004 Hehehehehee................nevermind. Ya know how editing, rendering, and exporting video makes a COMPLETE mess of your hard drive. Well.....I defrag'd the drive and ALL the problems went away. Looks nice and clean again. Ready to go to DVD!
nacmacfeegle 0 #5 August 31, 2004 Cool, for what its worth, de-interlacing is in the 'export settings', from memory its a wee sub menu. I've never had a requirement to de-interlace so can't comment on its efficacy.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. mccordia 74 #6 August 31, 2004 It's in the export menu, or you can do it on the timeline Just click your timeline, then pres ctrl+a (or from the menu, select all) Now go to the clip/video menu en select video-options>fields/interlacing and you will get a menu with several interlacing options. Clicking the option 'always deinterlace' will solve all your problems. And your whole project on the timeline will be free of interlaced lines..JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
