Lee846 0 #1 September 6, 2004 Hey! Had a Premier problem yesterday night! I've never had it before! The Premier (with the big project which was almost ready) said he had made a mistake (the technikal info wasn't available) and should be closed. No any difficult operation were made before it. The notice came after the simple step like the ripple deleting. There were the .mp3, .avi, .ptl, .giff, .aiff and .wav files in that project. It was about 24 min of video on the timeline. So.... Than I try to open the last version of project (or previous archive copies) it opens with the empty timeline space. The entire content of the in looks like the files with the "-1" names. But program can show the frames of each file (inspite of the wrong and similar names). -- I restart Windows after that. -- Premier Pro can read the entire project but without the transactions and titles been created in Premiere 6.0 (it's ok but I prefer to fix the problem with 6.0) -- I opened the oldest version of project with Premier 6.0. But the next saving made it in that wrong way. -- I reinstall Premier 6.0 but all the archives version are shown like that empty timeline with the wrong file names. -- I tried not to export entire project. I've been previewing only the small parts like clips with effects or transactions. -- It was a big free space on the disk about 10Gb -- I used Toshiba laptop, IntelPent.IV, Wind. XP Proff. WHAT'S UP?!?! Does anybody knows that problem??? It makes me crazy because the project was almost ready!!!! I'll write about the results of the usage of that stuff. And there is the opinion on that page that it came with the .mp3. I imported just one "strange" .mp3 file in my project. It was the .wav converted with some soft called "Cdx.." or smth like this. Hm... Just bought the Premier Pro guide. Let's learn it! 2motherhucker Because of that f//kin' notice. Every time than my work was ruined they ask me if I would to send that damn report! Yes, the programm was falling down but I still have the opportunity to help Microsoft... It looks like they're trying to kidding on me! .... uhm.... FinalCut, cya soon ... Between two evils always pick theone never tried

Although...[preface to statement--I'm no Windows guru] If you're getting a MICROSOFT error when Premiere crashes, it sounds more like an OS issue to me, rather that a Premiere issue... But I don't know shite. mh
