Tink1717 2 #1 September 9, 2004 Well, I got word from the shop today that my PC-9 will cost more to fix than it is worth and there is a part that is not available. So, I need to get a new camcorder. I want to stay with the mini DV format but I have no idea what is out there. What are people jumping that gets good results? ThanksSkydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off. -The World Famous Tink. (I never heard of you either!!) riggerrob 643 #4 September 9, 2004 Depends whether you are going for price or quality or adapting it to your existing helmet. If you are going for price, buy a SONY HC20. I opted for an HC40 which has the same case, but has one megapixel CCD. I also looked long and hard at a SONY PC109, which also has a 1 megapixel CCD, but a small vertical format. .. just could not justify the extra $300. If you plan to strap your new camera into your existing d-box, then stick with vertical format cameras like the PC-101 or PC-105.
