Faber 0 #2 September 12, 2004 i dont get the same qually from my bullet cam that i get from my pc105,and i got one of the best bullet cams,im not impressed and would like to sell mine but cant due the bad taste im my mouth i would get I were told by others that they got as good pics as by their cams,but i surdenly dont... quade 4 #3 September 13, 2004 NTSC Bullet cameras (that way most people use them) are NOT capable of the same quality as even the least expensive of the Sony camcorders. The most common bullet cameras have a composite video output -- a single RCA connector that combines the luminance and color information. While this is fine for most applications (making a VHS dub for instance) it is not the highest quality of video signal and has some not quite so good side effects that get recorded on the tape. A bullet camera with an "S-Video" connector would avoid this, but those cameras usually cost a bit more. That said, I do not believe the bullet cam > S-Video > miniDV recorder is still as good as, as I've said, even the least expensive all in one camcorders available from Sony.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
CaTo 0 #4 September 13, 2004 so I guess PAL is better :-) I have been using a bullet cam for almost a year now and there is no difference on first sight. People looked at it and did not notice it was bullet-cam-quality, it was just plain skydive video quality to them. I already made video-compilations with DV and Bullet-CAM pictures in it, and nobody saw any difference between the pictures. Mind you, there is a Sony CCD in it, the same as used in the Sony cams. There is just one single problem I see and have with the cam: grabbing still pictures from it is giving you not that good of a quality as with a normal DV tape: more interlacing.
