dzguy99 0 #1 September 13, 2004 I've got a Sony PC350 on the way and want a side mount with top mount stills capabilty. I have talked to several happy Hawkeye owners but am considering the new Bonehead...thoughts?
LouDiamond 1 #2 September 13, 2004 The illusion has far more area up top than the Hawkeye if you need or want room for possible expansion."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
dzguy99 0 #3 September 13, 2004 Good point, thanx. What are your thoughts on construction/comfort/utility comparisons?
LouDiamond 1 #4 September 14, 2004 It is typical Bonehead construction, high quality workmanship, comfortable and it is durable. It also comes standard with a cut away system. It also won't shift on your head like a hawkeye. The hawkeye has a neoprene forehead piece which isn't known for it's stability since it moves. The Illusion also has a jaw bone closure or chin bar(like the back side of a flat top pro) which increases stability and is less of a snag hazard, where as the hawkeye has a dual ratcheting chin cup."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
