I wonder if the camera manufacturers aren't going to keep us with conversion factors for quite some time.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
newshooter12 0 #3 September 17, 2004 at least in my mind a "pro" body has both horizontal as well as vertical grips and triggers. Most of the ones i've seen have huge battery compartments within those grips that house AA or rechargable batteries or some combination with adapters, etc... So if i had to narrow it down: "Pro-sumer" reincarnations of "pro" bodies are three things -lighter than the pro models in most cases... good for skydiving -tend to lack a few features here and there... not a big deal where light is plentiful and you can't mess with the settings in FF anyway. -they are cheaper... great for everyone. Plus it appeals to those people who aren't willing to shell out Thousands on just a body. The conversion factor thing. Yeah. it stinks to have expensive glass only partially used, but once the bugs are worked out of some of the new lenses built for digital SLRs less glass will equal less weight on your helmet. i don't think i'd be going out on a limb to say that this sensor will make it's way into a pro-sumer body sooner than later. that is if Nikon plans to stay competitive with canon. enough babble from me for now. matt
