Is there a way to put video frorm your computer to a VHS with one easy step?

I think Dazzle or Pinnacle has a product that can transfer digital (computer edited) video to VHS.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to do a Google search:)

Easy 'low tech' way (if you don't have a DV camera or any other line-outs on your PC)

Get a CD-R/DVD-R burning program (Nero/Easy CD creator), and select VideoCD, or SuperVideo CD as the CD type.

Then drag your avi/mpg/wmv or whatever into the program, and select BURN!!

(Nero converts it to a VCD standard MPG, but for better results use an external encoder such as TMPEG Enc)

You now have a VideoCD or SuperVideoCD that plays in your DVD player (who hasn't got one now-a-days?)
Just hook that one up to your VCD and hit record..

I unerstand that...

How do you get the footage to your computer?

What software are you using to edit?

If you are using some sort of firewire hookup to go from camera to computer, then you do the same in reverse, just hook your AV cables to your camera and VCR durning the Output... your camera will act as a converter / thruput device.

If you are not using firewire, does your computer have a PCMIA card slot? You can get a firewire card for relatively cheap...

I have not seen a USB/RCA cord, and unless you are using USB-2 you may not have the x-fer speed you need to get full quality video.

Your question would lead one to assume you have already got the video into the computer from the camera if so send it back through the camera to a vcr.
However if you want to know how to get it into and out of the computer you need to supply more info.
Has the computer got fire wire
Have you an editing program
What camera have you
