skydonkey 0 #1 October 5, 2004 I want to render a video with one shot next to another i.e. me and another guy freeflying together with both our cameras viewpoints, or 4 way Cameraman and my camera viewpoint from inside the formation. Anyone know any (preferably budget) editing software that will do this, or maybe one view at reduced scale inside the other?
StevePhelps 0 #2 October 5, 2004 Premiere can do that easily -- I don't know what your budget is, but there are some 6.0s pretty affordable on Ebay.
nacmacfeegle 0 #3 October 5, 2004 I've even seen old fashioned editing boards that can do this either as a slide (no distortion), a squeeze (picture distorts), or as a picture in picture...(terminology may vary). Its dead easy in Premiere or most other equivalents, you can download a trial version of Premiere from Adobe. I've put 11 simultaneous video streams on a single screen using Premiere 4.2, but it took ages to render.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. BETO74 0 #4 October 8, 2004 I just found a software called "slick" transitions and effects that you can do that on Imovie for Mac the cost is $65 and you got to have a Mac. You could create a reel on your movies with up to 60 clips. I was considering in getting "Motion" complement to Final cut pro, but let's face it - Imovie is so much easy, I still use final cut or livetype for the more complicated project and export to Imovie just to not complicate my life so much. Slick has some effects that you could only do with final or a more professional editing software, they just made it so much easyer.http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
Zoter 0 #5 October 23, 2004 Any editing soft ware that lets you 'play' more than two video tracks at a time and also lets you resize each video track 'window'.. In a nutchell just about all programs over 50 bucks or so would let you do this......and certainly the higher end ones. Look towards Ulead , Pinnacle for the best lower end software packages and Adobe (Premiere Pro) and Sony (Vegas) for some top end stuff.... In fact I believe Adobe has released a great version of Premiere Pro (scaled down version in features and cost) called Premier Pro Elements, thats meant to be a great value package.... Yeah...its real easy to do
BETO74 0 #6 October 24, 2004 I just received a copy of the video continum II base jump and I recommnded for everybody intrested in base or not but that's not the point , the point is I think a good chunk of the movie was edited with slick trasitions and it looks very professional something that will pass as it was made with Final Cut or a more professional software.http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
