Spot the photoshop?

The edge of the door on the bottom isn't quite right, it looks like you photoshopped the ground in or possibly some clouds out. Doesn't look like too much wind is blowing in the door either.

If you sharped edges of the door then smudge tooled the edge of the door just a hair then added just a hair of blurring it'd probably take care of it.

The ground is still focued slightly different and it makes the depth all seem wrong.

I was mainly talking about the pixilation of the door frame, where the editing wasn't clean, but yup, the focus on the ground is a bit different then the plane. A bit of blurring is another easy trick to make it work better, as I'm sure that you know Phree, but others may not.:P

The ground focus doesn't bother me too much, I can buy that as the ground being in focus and there being a lack of depth of field for the near objects.

What does bother me is that both the foreground and background seem to have a moire pattern as if they have been scanned from a magazine photo. Note the carpet and duct tape in the airplane and the light brown (plowed?) field in the background photo.

Paul, our Otters are actually carpeted with a grey carpet that has a cordoroy like appearence. The lines appear like that all the time. The silver line is actually just like what is used in a house at the difference between carpet and hardwoord floors. Its got a stupid pattern too.

I'll accept the moire as compression for the web.

The wide-angle lens distortions of the plane/people and the ground look like they are centered in different places.

i.e. the people look like they were filmed with the camera pointing at the digital alti, while the center of the ground shot looks like it is left of frame.

"Anyone see anything "wrong" with the attached image?"

Everyone's reading too much into this, the obvious issue is a belly flier smiling.;)

:P

She's similing cause the "bitch" is about to be "tossed" from the otter...

The orignal is attached. No, it's not a cloud violation, the background is overexposed.

I inserted a the ground from another shot.

The problem I saw - and couldn't figure out how to deal with - was that the barrel distortion from my sigma 15 caused curved roads, and the pattern is inconsistent with the distortion in the frame of the door. The doorframe curves concave, and the roads curve convex... so to speak.

This stuff is fun.

I could, but I would need to wait until next weekend when I get back out to the DZ. I don't have an otter handy during the week. ;)

Taking a background from another shot seems like a pretty good solution, especially since none of you guys noticed the issues with the barrel distortion of the roads. B|

I do need to clean up the bottom of the doorframe a bit...

He noticed it, and it was the only thing that I really noticed. Can't you fix that by rotating the picture that you shot of the ground. Its just on the wrong side I think. Just 180 it and it might look to follow the curves a little better.

I think there are some photoshop effects you can use to adjust how the picture curves.

I missed ematteo's earlier post... my bad!

Thanks for the tip. I had to rotate, then vertically flip the ground shot. It looks great now...

Yep I think in the state that it is now it would be hard to ever tell it was edited if you didn't have a high res copy on a computer to investigate.
