I figured I'd post a pic of my Rawa helmet.... I just had the box replaced with one that fits the PC101 and you can flip the camera inside it. The helmet has 2 dytter pockets, one on each side, and is wicked comfortable.

One of the best decisions I have ever made It was to buy a RAWA helmet, is simply the best helmet in the market and is cheap.

my RAWA helmet came with the double camera mount , flat top for the still camera, two metal pieces to place the still camera on it (vertically and horizontally), internal plugs for bite switch, bite switch and camera cable, chincup and is incredible comfortable. For $353.23 dollars including S&H. I really believe that it is very good price if you take a bonehead let’s see:

A bone head helmet:
BONEHEAD OPTIK $298

A bone head camera single mount:
BONE HEAD D-BOX SHELL FOR SONY DIGITAL CAMERA $170

A still camera bracket:
GOLDMEMBER QUICK RELEASE $85

A bone head chincup:
BONEHAD CHINCUP $65

A bite switch:
BITE SWITCH $35

TOTAL: $653

So bone head helmet + camera single mount + still camera bracket + chincup + bite switch + S&H for only $653 dollars.

Points to consider:

1) You will only have a single video camera mount.

2) You have to do all the set up. Place the camera bracket, place the camera side mount, and drill holes for the bite switch.

3) the RAWA helmet is costume made with the size of your head

The best way is to contact RAWA directly there are too ways.

By phone (Brazil) 55 11 6128-8492. is kind of hard because they don’t speak English they just speak Portuguese and a little bit of Spanish is kind of frustrating.

Or send them an E-mail to rawa@rawa.com.br, let them know what kind of helmet you would like and what for (freefly, Rw, Tandems).

They will send you a Form, fill it out specify if you want the still camera mounts and cables send it back and they will give you the price, and charge it to your credit card.

You will have your helmet in couple of weeks

I've always had a problem with chin cups and the old "try to smile but it scrunches my face" thing. How do Rawas feel when it comes to that, or is it just a personal preference?
