INSANEDADDY 0 #1 November 16, 2004 I know this was posted some time back. I searched and could not find the post of someone removing the side strap. I just got my new RAWA and its a tight fit in the box. It fit fine in my big Bone Head box. With the strap removed it looks as if would be a better fit. You dont't get to choose how you're going to die. Though someone mentioned that they unscrewed the scres that keepit on. I dont know how they got a screw driver to fit but anyway. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . Clarkey 0 #3 November 16, 2004 You can remove the chunky swivel point fairly easily by removing the 2 screws on the back of it (from the inside of the tape loading door). That was enough to make mine fit in my 2K helmet comfortably, and it's not too difficult to put back on if I need it for normal stuff. I believe you can get to the screws at the other end of the strap, but you will need a small screwdriver with a flexible shaft - it is a bitch though so I've left that end connected on mine as the strap fits quite snug in the helmet without the swivel point. INSANEDADDY 0 #4 November 17, 2004 I got the strap off with no problems. The camera fits perfectly with the strap removed. I wish the weather would clear up here so I can go make my beer jump with my new helmet. It looks like we are rained in though the weekend..........Thanks for the info.............
