kallend 2,030 #1 November 19, 2004 Well, I finally upgraded to XP Pro from Win2000. Is the bundled video editing program any good? I use Premiere 6.5 now, and it's powerful but I really can't say I like it much.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. PhreeZone 20 #4 November 20, 2004 Its striped down compared to Premiere, but it has all the functionality that you could need to do a quick video thats not full of 1000 transitions and 3d effects. I've used it before for simple videos, it works. On par with Vegas or any of the entry level video programsYesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Parky1 0 #5 November 22, 2004 I used it and got a few missed frames which made my finished edit a bit jumpy. I have done a couple of edits with Sonic Foundry Vegas 4 and have had no problems at all.
Zoter 0 #6 November 22, 2004 Agreed....for simple edits...its quick easy and actually quite easy to learn/use. When you reach a point where you say....'why cant I do this.....' I'm sure Premiere can fill the hole. Look to Pixelan on the web for some great MM transition and effects plug ins as well... I have never had a problem with the export quality....I'd say the 'skipping' another has mentioned as being a hardware problem......it does kinda limit your opetions to.wmv files though.....if you dont choose to export as DV AVI

I was the same I hated Premiere 6.5, however i tried Premiere Pro and it is fantastic, if you couple it with Adobe after effects and Photoshop, there will be very little the you will not be able to do. If you have used 6.5 getting the hang of basic editing with Pro will be easy, however to really use it and and After effects will take a little practice.----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
