adrenalinejunki 0 #1 December 3, 2004 Last week I ordered a PC-350 from Best Buy's website. I knew before I bought it that it would be backordered. It also said the estimated shipping date would be December 2. Well today ( Dec 3 ) I got an email from them saying that they "expect" to ship it to me in the next 25 days! There is nothing more frustrating than piss poor customer service. Has anyone else had the same problem getting anything from them? __________________________________________________What's the worst that can happen? AndyMan 7 #3 December 3, 2004 I would cancel the order, and reorder from one of: www.bhphotovideo.com www.dbuys.com www.butterflyphoto.com www.buydig.com It'll be cheaper, you'll get better service, and it'll show up on time. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. PROGRESSIVE 0 #4 December 4, 2004 I got mine for $940 from american-deals.com. I received it within 1 week. After I ordered it, the price went down to $915, for a couple of days. So far, I am happy with the deal. ($913 right now)
3ringheathen 0 #5 December 5, 2004 I had a different bad experience with Best Buy: I ordered a custom computer it was going to take two weeks to be finished and sent to the store for pick up. I went to the cash register to pay for it with a check, and they wouldn't accept it. Apparently SCANcheck or whatever service they use profiles customers and decided that my check was too risky. I'm not sure why, I have excellent credit, and since I'd just re-fied my house, I had enough money in my account to by a couple dozen top end computers. The manager wouldn't help me even though I wasn't even taking anything from the store for at least two more weeks. By that time, the check would've cleared. Bonehead business policies and decisions. I'v bought one or two things there since, but avoid them whenever possible. -Josh If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive. -Me* *Ron has accused me of plagiarizing this quote.
