crazydiver 0 #1 December 10, 2004 Does anyone know of a website or have instructions on how to alter a point and shoot APS camera to hook a remote shutter release to? I have a canon elph, but its not the basic elph that a couple companies sell already modified. Its a higher model with lots of more features. Any info on how to do this would be great. I also have an older minolte that I could do this too. I am just looking for an inexpensive way to get started with stills. Thanks all! TALONSKY 0 #2 December 10, 2004 It does not have your camera listed but it may get you pretty close. I used it to modify a Canon OWL. Be careful and epoxy the wire down before soidering them. My first try I melted the copper on the circuit board off. http://www.jesseshuntingpage.com/site/homebrew-cams.html Kirk
ffejdraga 0 #3 December 11, 2004 have you tried Harbortronics? www.harbortronics.com you would send the camera to them, and they modify it and send it back. They do great work (can be pricy though. Send an email out to Mark there, he is the man. It will cost you, but not sure how much, but they are very good at doing it. Either that, or find some type iof hardware engineer. it is pretty simple for them...just gotta find one. jeff D-16906
