turtlespeed 221 #1 January 10, 2005 A jumper at our DZ was looking to buy a hawkeye from the gear store and we started discussing it - I said let's go outside and talk. So I gave props to Quade and gave him directions on where to find the info and documents. Basically, it was like this - I just asked him if had read up on any camera flying, he said no., so I pointed him to Pauls Documents. I then said after you read it a couple of times, see if you are willing to accept the risks and responsibilities that come along with flying camera. So I asked him what it was that attracted him to video. He said he would maybe want to shoot video for tandems. I said that is a great goal. But that he should really research the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. I feel like I might have made a difference.Should I have done anything differently? Oh yeah - he has 80 Jumps.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
quade 4 #2 January 10, 2005 I think it's all of our responsibility to -try- to look out for one another in real life. If you see something that you think might not be safe or even just wise at least talk to the person. Ultimately it's up to them, but can you possibly imagine how bad you'd feel if you didn't do anything and something horrible happened? Anyway, you definately have my approval on that situation. Good job.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
