jb092 0 #3 January 14, 2005 I did read somewhere that you should only do it when it says it needs it. Anymore then that you can wear the heads out. What could possibly go wrong?
AndyMan 7 #4 January 14, 2005 After 2 years, I haven't needed to. Possibly because I jump with a d-box, and only use new tape. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

PhreeZone 20 #6 January 15, 2005 How many tapes are you up to? I barely filmed at all in 2004 and I've got about 30 tapes laying around here. I've never cleaned my heads since I got the camera in 2001. Will probally do it once this year just as a prevention.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
VisionAir 0 #7 January 15, 2005 2 different cameras over 5+ years and I've only had to clean the newer one (2+yrs) once when I had the "digitized lines" showing up. But I also always use a dbox and new Sony tapes. Huh?!? What cloud?!? Oh that!!! That's just Industrial Haze Alex M.

PhreeZone 20 #10 January 15, 2005 Yeah.. thats what happens when you do tandems. Luckly for me its hit record as I am the second group from exit. Turn it off after stowing the slider. Sometimes I'll flip it back on for landing but thats rare any more. I hate that part of doing tandem videos when I do one. 5 jumps and I've gone through a tape. Fun jumps a tape will last at least 25 jumps and I can push it to 45 some times.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
