jdfreefly 1 #1 January 17, 2005 Any one know where I can get a dbox to protect this baby. I have the ability to make one myself, but I would like it for Peurto Rico and I don't know if I will have the time to get it done by then. I looked at bonehead's site, and I didn't see any thing for still cameras. Is anyone out there making something like this yet? Methane Freefly - got stink? PhreeZone 20 #5 January 17, 2005 Funny this should be brought up since just last night I was having a conversation with someone that said if there was a market for stuff some of the manufactors would maybe be interested in making boxes for stills, but the market has to show an interest and enough of one or them to profit. Email Bonehead and Cookie and the other Dbox makers and ask them about it. Maybe if enough people ask, someone will respond and it will happen Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
PhreeZone 20 #6 January 18, 2005 Got a fast reply back from Wes. He charges $225 for the box, and then $25 for his quick release to be installed. Plus return shipping. Pretty slick setup, you ship him all the gear (helmet, stills, lens, video) and he'll put the key hole slots in the correct position for your helmet. The Box is custom made to fit your exact camera and lens combo. It sounds like with the keyholes, the hardware and everything else all thats needed to attach your stills to the helmet is a thumbscrew. I'm thinking about it. Anyone out there using any of Rimworlds gear now and have any comments on it?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
