dragon2 2 #2 January 23, 2005 I copied a tape once by connecting the 3 audio & video connectors on the vhs recorder to the analogue video connector on my sony camera. Was pretty easy but your vhs has to have these 3 connectors. Maybe it also works using the scart but haven't tried that. ciel bleu, Saskia
skydivebaz 0 #3 January 23, 2005 if you have a sony DV cam take the tape out plug in scart lead to the an input turn outo record and plug in your Firewire and your cam should convert it on the fly straight through to your pc and just capture it
docjohn 0 #4 January 25, 2005 You have to borrow a vhs player? You can buy a brand new one for next to nothing these days. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
Faber 0 #5 January 25, 2005 the idea of dubbing were to NOT have a vhs in the house anymore,so yes i would borrow one(for free by a freind). I can tell that we hooked up my cam to the scart adobter and my pc105 it didnt work, looking at the scart you´ll see somthing is missing through so im in the belive that the scartadobters are one ways, which means you´ll need a vhs mashine whith analouge or svhs out to complete this kind of stuff. Thanks evryone Stay safe Stefan Faber
nacmacfeegle 0 #6 January 26, 2005 Probably won't work with the standard scart adaptor that comes with Sony cams in Europe, have pm'd ya.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. helge 0 #7 January 26, 2005 The scart cable routing is different on video OUT compared to video IN. My scart to rca connector has a switch, where i can choose the direction of the video stream. I have successfully done what you are trying to do VHS - Scart adaptor - Sony Cable - Sony Camcorder Works like a dream, just be sure to get the correct scart adaptor.
