martz 0 #1 January 26, 2005 Iwant to fix my Canon rebel 2000 on the top of my hawkeye. I don't plan on switching from 35mm to digital, so I don't think I need to use a qick release. So I figure to fix the still by the tripod screw, but how do I prevent it to move (turn) ? Do a velcro on the lens is enought ?? Thanks... And if you have pics of thaht part of your setup ... it would be appreciated ..=============================== Ourson # 5 impatient de sauter #

martz 0 #3 January 26, 2005 Ok good idea ... but hoe thick should be the piece of cork ?? And where can I found it ^^ Thanks for your help !=============================== Ourson # 5 impatient de sauter #
StevePhelps 0 #4 January 26, 2005 mine came with the quick release, but I suspect you can get a thin sheet at a Hobby Lobby (or craft store) Not too thick ... 1/8th inch maybe. Look for some that has a sticky side. Place that on the helmet. Screw the camera on top of it and the cork will help keep it steady. Good luck!
Laurent 0 #5 January 26, 2005 Hi, For my canon rebel still camera, I have cut a small plate of aluminium, drilled one hole in my flat-top helmet, cut a thin sheet of polystyrene and add tape above it. Screw your rebel until it cannot turn. I unscrew mine when I only use my camcorder. See the attached picture, you can't go wrong.
