Courteney 0 #1 February 3, 2005 Hey there, I don't have a manual for Premier 6.5, but was wondering if it was possible to capture video from my PC105 to Premier via a USB cable or does it have to be that funky looking Firewire and card? Thanks in advance, Courteney....drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!

PhreeZone 20 #3 February 3, 2005 USB has a bit rate of about 12 mbs. DV video records at about 25 mbs second. Firewire has a bit rate of 400mbs. Only way to push the data is over Firewire. Using USB is like trying to shove a Watermelon through a garden hose... it only works if you break it up and then the end product is'nt what you expect.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Courteney 0 #4 February 3, 2005 Ah...I see. Cool thanks. Would importing files from another editing program make any difference on the outcome of the video?...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
PhreeZone 20 #5 February 3, 2005 Nope, USB is a poor choice all around. Use Firewire. The card can be had for less then $35 and the cable is usually included with the card.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
