Problems when burning DVD´s from Premiere Pro

Recommended Posts

Hi

I´m having trouble when I try to burn a DVD directly from Premiere Pro. It starts very well and continue until the process nearly reaches the end. Then I get and error (DVDErr, -224).

My burner works apparent all right. I can burn a DVD with “normal data” from a traditional burner program (Nero).

I have tried with both –R and +R media. But the same error appears [:/]

Does anyone know any possibly solutions on this one?

Looking forward to your responses :)

Looks like it could be something to do with your audio.

I find a google search usually turns up some help:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=DVDErr%2C+-224&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

Other than that all I can add is that I've never had any problems using Pro to burn an edit...

You could always just export the AVI file then burn that using NERO or something similar if you can't solve the problem.

I had the same problem. In my case it was ACE mega codecs pack. After i uninstalled that it worked flawlessly. Try uninstalling all codecs or codec packs you have on your computer and then try again.
it's most likley not a problem in your dvd burner but in compresing/transcoding the video or audio.

p.s.: you could also try reconfiguring your codecs but that would take hella lof of time to figure out which is the one that makes problem, if you have lots of codecs installed.
"George just lucky i guess!"

This is quite a common problem with Ppro. I have discovered that the larger the project the more chance of an error.

Before you start messing around with codecs etc, try to export to dvd again, but this time close everything down aprart from PP.
Also download a program call EnditAll, and run this prior to exporting.

also here is the Adobe response to the problem
