MFF29Alpha 0 #1 March 27, 2005 Anyone have any opinions on this camera? It would be greatly appreciated, just getting into camera and dont know what to get. Thanks
patairborne 0 #2 March 27, 2005 The TRV 38 is a really good camera for freefall. I have 5 different Sony cameras but I like the 38 the best because of the 3.5 LCD. It is a whole lot easier for a 4 way team to debrief jumps from if they are doing back to backs. The TRV 38 is rugged and the weight difference is minimal. RevJim 0 #4 March 31, 2005 I have a TRV-19, which is the cheap version of the 33. It does video quite well, which is what we want. That said, I see you have not listed your jump numbers. That's no big deal, as you can see that I also only have 2 jumps. The problem I see is that you have a B license number (27650) that is so new that the numbers in the April 2005 Parachutist fall 80 short of it. That says more of your experience than the number of jumps, IMO. For this reason, I strongly suggest you seek a mentor at your local DZ. Ask him/her a great deal of questions, and most importantly, LISTEN! If you are unable to do that, the rest of the information you may get here will be worthless. Take it from someone who's "been there, done that..." It's your life, live it!
