Dokeman 0 #1 March 29, 2005 I have a rawa and a sight and need to know how to mount it. How far away should the sight be from my eye. Mabey someone can post some pictures of their rawa's so i can get an idea of where to put it. And which side do i put the sight on, the left or the right? Dokeman 0 #3 March 30, 2005 yea.. after i posted i remembered seeing that one and started looking through it. There where no rawa's with sights, but i did fugure out that most sights are mounted on the right.. So thats what i did..
EDYDO 0 #4 March 30, 2005 Quote most sights are mounted on the right.. So thats what i did.. Most people are right eye dominant. Hold your finger up at arms length (you choose which ). Look at an object and close one eye. See if the object moves from your finger, then close the other eye. The eye that is open when the object stays in place is the dominant eye and also is the side your sight should be placed. Ed

Interesting. I now know that I am left eye dominant. But I mounted my sight on the right because it seemed to feel right at the time. What sorts of effects are known/thought to come from having the sight on the "wrong" side? Ivan [Edit for spelling]
EDYDO 0 #6 March 30, 2005 If your pictures are centered, it has not caused a problem for you. If they aren't, it could be the sight location. Ed
IvanPeters 0 #7 March 30, 2005 I generally don't notice a problem but there have been a few occasions when things have been mysteriously off-center. Guess I'll have to get the drill out and try it on the other side. Ivan
