skyblu3 0 #1 April 22, 2005 Hi, i have finally got a new computer and now i would like to install a firewire card to edit all my skydiving footage. My local computer store has the following: http://www.conceptronic.net/site/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=1&tabid=200&Cat=30&grp=3020&ar=195&Prod_ID=732&Prod=Ci1394B It is cheap so I was wandering if it is any good???? mr2mk1g 10 #2 April 22, 2005 Firewire cards are cheap. They all work to the same spec too so an expensive one isn't any faster than a cheap one. It's got three external and a nice bonus one internal port so its not exactly a bob-basic one either. The internal one means you can hook up a port on the front of your pc if you like so you don't have to go crawling round the back every time you need to plug something in. If it's cheap and breaks throw it away and buy another. That said, I doubt it will break before you decide you want a new, new-fangled computer with "megawire" (TM) ports and a "SuperGizzmoDrive" (TM) anyway. Besides, it's got a 5 year warrantee.
