Keeping your image still!!!

I had a revelation today!!!!!

I was trying on some of our gear and checking it for comfort and fit etc. and I noticed that there is generally a lot of scalp movement whilst wearing a helmet. Maybe just on my head:P

With out a helmet on you can put your hand on your head close to your forehead and move your scalp quite considerably ie. up to 1 inch of movement from front to back.

So after putting my helmet on and mucking around for a bit in front of the mirror, I noticed that if I raised my eyebrows this scalp movement was considerably reduced. I tried this again without the helmet, using my hand and my raised eye browes did reduce this scalp movement.

So put it to the test as I'm keen to hear your comments on this.

It may be the case that most jumpers tend to have WIDE EYES ;) whilst in freefall and that those guys freefall footage might be the most steady.

Thoughts Anyone???

I don't think my helmet moves that much.

But what I do know, is that I have way to much work to do today - and right now I'm sitting with the hands on my head and doing stupid things with mye eye brows....grmf>:(

Yeh cooookie, think your right. maybe its that movement that makes most skydivers bald at the front top of their head before our whuffo mates.

Also check out the movement in helmet position when you stick a shutter release in your mouth (noticeable on helmets with with a ratcheting chin cup).
