murrays 0 #4 September 9, 2005 Also, do a search on versiontracker.com ... iMovie brings up about 199 hits. I have add-ins from GeeThree, Virtix and others.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
stratostar 5 #5 September 9, 2005 Ryan, I saw a bunch in the apple store in cincy. You might try a apple store in Indy if you don't want to get them on line. ~you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
erikzero 0 #6 September 13, 2005 If you get adobe after effects you will be able to do almost anything you want to a video and even make your own transitions. I use it all the time and their is alot to learn but worth it. see some of my vids http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=search&search=do&string=team%20zero&searchtype=allwords&click=
MB38 0 #7 September 14, 2005 Comparing iMovie to After Effects is like comparing a nail clipper to a garage full of tools. They aren't even designed to do the same thing.I really don't know what I'm talking about.

True! iMovie, while a wonderful tool for the absolutely most basic type of NLE, is not what I would even call a a real NLE as it doesn't provide for any sort of off-line or redig of source material. After Effects, isn't a NLE at all! It's a -very- extensible motion graphics platform that I would never suggest to anyone just making home movies. The learning curve is just too steep.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

plutoniumsalmon 0 #10 September 28, 2005 Dont get dependent on transitions, they get to look cheesy after a while. Just look at normal films and see what, if any, transitions (besides fades and disolves) are being used. But if you still want more transitions and are using a mac then get final cut and motion.Pointy birds Oh pointy pointy Anoint my head Anointy nointy
