Bones 0 #1 October 1, 2005 I've got perfectly good but older VCR and DVD players, the problem is that the DVD player won't play the newer media (DVD-R, etc.). Anyone have any advice/recommendations on a new DVD player/ recorder that'll not only play the newer media but also have the option of recording VHS to DVD? billo 0 #2 October 3, 2005 Our DZ and several jumpers i know use the "go video" dvd/vhs dual decks. They work well for editing straight to vhs or dvd, and you can also do dvd to vhs or vhs to dvd dubs. http://www.govideo.com/Index.asp?GV=VR5940 No complaints about this deck here! pcalandra 0 #3 October 3, 2005 I like the Sony unit, it's a combination DVD/VHS recorder, records all playsback DVD -R & +R & RW formats. Look for either the recently discontinued RDRVX500 or the new RDRVX515. I haven't had any compatability complaints with the DVD's I've been doing this season.
