deegs123 0 #1 October 3, 2005 I am flying a Diamond Stealth .5 lens on a Sony HC 30-Did some practice vids this weekend and was camped out about 5 feet in front of my TM/passenger and it looks like I am a mile away. I know the lens Manufacture says I can zoom this lens 1/2 way in.What am I doing wrong, and any suggestions to make this problem betterCorvette Dude

velocityphoto 0 #3 October 4, 2005 You have to zoom to the desired focal length ,and then manual focus it .I use the same lenses . my 2 cents A friend will bail you out of jail , a REAL friend will be sitting next to you in the cell slapping your hand saying "DUDE THAT WAS AWSUM " ................ Zoter 0 #4 October 4, 2005 Thats the trade off......the wider the lens the closer you have to be to fill the frame. I have both a 0.3 and a 0.5 and I simply choose the 'best' lens for the type of dive I am on....and for my skill level on that dive.... If in doubt I use a 0.5 zoomed in a little and focused. Perhaps you could post a screen grab of a 'set' distance with no WA lens....and then one witha WA lens set to 'no' zoom......and another with WA lens set to the max zoom setting are able to do before you cannot focus . Peeps should then be able to tell you if there is something 'wrong' with the lens.......
