The111 1 #2 November 17, 2005 Any dumbass can learn to use any piece of software - you'll never know unless you try. I haven't tried that specific package, but in the last couple months I picked up Photoshop and Pinnacle with no prior experience, with only a couple or hours worth of dicking around in each. There are tutorials all over the internet for any software you can think of probably - makes it much easier.www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I found it quite intuitive and lots of nice features, but I wouldn't call it beginner's software though. There are programs like Adobe Premiere Elements which are more geared towards people just starting out to edit video. I hadn't done it either before I started using Vegas, but I do computer stuff for a living and figured it out after a while. Good luck. Let me know if you need any help with Vegas. Parky1 0 #6 November 18, 2005 I have used Vegas 4 & 5 and also Sonic DVDA2. Took me a few hours to work out the basics but can now do a reasonable Video/DVD. I'm sure there is loads more I could learn to do with it but I'm happy with what i have learnt so far.

If you don't have any prior experience with video editing, it'll probably take you a while to figure things out. Pulling video off the tape is just the start. I know alot of people who use Pinnacle Studio - yuo might want to check it out. It's very use friendly and does everything most people need in video editing. Personally, I use Vegas, it's awesome, but it's definitely a higher end editor. Also, you'll need a pretty decent computer to prevent dropped frames. Good luck! JShhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
tdog 0 #8 November 19, 2005 Using Vegas, on my laptop (rather new model) I put together this video (which thanks to the content, not my editing, has become a top rated video on the site): Quotehttp://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=2722 It has some bugs and some of the features don't always do what you expect them too... However, once you get the nack of it, it is just as good as any of the more expensive stuff out there....

I would say your editing and choice of music makes it an excellent video. Of course the footage is awesome, but to put it toghether nicely is an artform too! We want more! tdog 0 #10 November 20, 2005 QuoteWe want more! You pay my expenses to any swoop comp, and I will be more than glad to put something together... Ok, heck, I don't think you would have to pay all my expenses either... Or any expenses...
