L Bracket......?

Any body using an L Bracket on the BH Mindwarp/pimp daddy? I have a Sony HC-40 and want to use my current helmet as opposed to buying a new one. Pros/cons?

Cons: lots of snag area as the mindwarp does not have a flat surface to mount to,also your cam will be exposed to riser slaps.
