HC 32 Memory Stick Duo?

So, I don't have a memory stick for my HC32.
But, am I correct in thinking I don't really need one if I have the tapes and don't plan on taking pics?

But...which one should I get? Brand/GB?

Correct.... the memory card is only needed for stills.

You can use a memory card for overlaying a logo or frame etc too, I've seen that done when firewiring tape to others so the copyright thing was quite clear. Not sure if the HC 32 can do that, my camera can but I've never used it.

I bought a gig for my HC32 at Frys in Wilsonville on 12/24/05 for $69.99, which becomes $39.99 if the $30 mail-in rebate comes through. Lexar brand I think. It works.
