Kuper 0 #1 December 27, 2005 hi' i used to use a BH Pimpdaddy with a home made camera mounts and it was great. BUT 2 month ago i crashed on a bad landing (surgury and screw in the foot, but i'll be ok). the helmet got deformed and i can't and suggested not to - use it again. i thohght about Optik as my next helmet, and i even put a friend's Optik on the head and if felt great, but i found out that the top base isn't very wide (for a 350D for example). therefore i think now about Illusion, but because i used to close the Pimpdaddy and the Optik almost all way up (as in the attached pic) i'm afraid of not beeing able to set the left side properly my pimpdaddy + optik size is medium (small is too tight). does anyone here had problems like that? do u think i should be worried about that? or is there something i missed while looking on the structure of the Optik?? thanx and Happy Hanuka and Happy New Year everybody! LouDiamond 1 #2 December 27, 2005 Don't worry about it. I had the same concerns about that as well as the fit. Give the foam time to mold to your head/face if you haven't already baked it. If it still feels a bit off after baking it a shim usually does the trick. I have no trouble mounting either my video or digi rebel on the top of the Illusion. I have even see one set up with both mounted simultaneously on top of an illusion. YMMV."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

Kuper 0 #5 December 28, 2005 yeh i know this thread very good... it is a really good one - but i just wanted to know about that 'seems to me like problem' problem - with just one side setting option in the Illusion... thanx!http://www.orikuper.printroom.com
Nightwing 0 #6 December 31, 2005 Well, we all use BH Optiks and have no problemos mounting 350D's on them. I have a medium as well, which I tighten up a tad too tight sometimes but that's cause I'm paranoid cos it's not my 350D. Drags me down, like some sweet gravity... Nightwing has stirred, and taken to flight...the silence is over, he's shattered the night!!!
