snafuhere 0 #1 December 29, 2005 What is this used for? So you can put your camcorder with the lens up/down? What for? Anybody can explain? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/

Dokeman 0 #3 December 29, 2005 i think hes talking about the rawa helmets that allow you to place you camera upside down in your helmet so that when you are flying head down, the video is right side up. ex. you are flying head down with some sit flyers
snafuhere 0 #4 December 29, 2005 yes, that's rawa there has to be some reason to place your camcorder upside down... but what for? I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the actual movie orientation - you can always change it while making the final movie maybe the angle? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
Dokeman 0 #5 December 29, 2005 im pretty sure its for keeping the video right side up when your head down. Remeber, not everyone has access/the ability to flip the video back over on the ground. I think thats easier than turning you TV upside down!

You just put the camcorder upside down on the table when you are watching it. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....

Another reason for inverting is to get to the controls on the other side of the corder while it is in the bracket. --------------------------------------------- Every day is a bonus - every night is an adventure. ScottyInAus 0 #8 January 3, 2006 Because most Freeflyers have more control (forward movement especially, I believe) while Head Down. So if the camera is upside down and you go HD the video is the right way up. For those people that dub straight to VHS maybe... Also not all programs will let you invert the image. Looks damn trippy watchin the cam flyer coming in to land upside down Cheers, Jason.
